The Piano Brothers

Avery Dean Horner, 16, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Avery was born to James and Traci (Ford) Horner on November 21, 2000, in Marion, Indiana. He attended Oak Hill High School from Kindergarten through ninth grade and then he moved to Marion High School, where he was currently a Junior. Avery previously played football for Oak Hill and was previously a member of the Marion JROTC. He was also a welder in the Welding Technology class. He loved his welding class and it showed because he has recently been named the Top Junior Welder for all of the welding classes. He will be greatly missed by the friends he made in that class. Avery also enjoyed working on cars in the garage with his dad, fishing, and listening to music really loud; so loud, in fact, that he'd blow out the speakers in cars. He was a loving guy who would do anything for his friends and would help his family whenever they needed it; even if it was mowing and picking up sticks. He loved to take nature walks and he found being in nature very peaceful. Avery was a member of Chapel Pike Wesleyan Church, where he got baptized on January 19, 2014. Avery loved his family and his family loved him and they will miss him more than he ever could have imagined.

Avery is survived by his parents, Jim and Traci Horner, Sweetser; sister, Sierra Horner and brother-in-law, Kurtis Rangel, Sweetser; Papaw Ford and Grandma Linda, Marion; Aunt Wendy and Uncle Jose, Marion; Aunt Carin and Uncle Roger, Marion; Aunt Aimee, Marion; Aunt Cristi, OK; Godmother, Sonya Briognes, Sweetser; special, close friend, Brayden Phillips, Sims; numerous extended family, and his beloved pup, Diesel Fuel.
