I'm very, very sorry for your loss. I didn't know Jim very well but I know you are a very close family and the loss of a member must be very hard. I pray that you all will find comfort knowing Jim's battle is over. He was such a brave man, never ceasing to fight the good fight. Condolences to all.

Peace, love and eternal Grace to one of my best friends and also one of the people who had the greatest impact on my life. He did the impossible and got us a major record deal which we recorded with the pros in Nashville. Just last week I learned that his written song "Karate" will be on an album with only one other outside song - by someone he admired, Kris Kristofferson. I only mention it because Jim would have got a laugh out of it. I met Jim in response to. a newspaper ad for a guitarist. On Monday, January 30th, 1961 in Sweetser at the old Venable's Cafe we discussed music. Jim was a modest and humble human being. In later years as I realized the impact he had on my life and told him so, he would just shrug and change the subject. The last time I saw Jim was on July 2nd this year, when, under great stress and pain, he attended our 50th wedding anniversary, as he had been our best man. Jim and I alone shared some important memories and now he is gone. I offer my sincere condolences to the Aguilar family, as much as his passing affects me, it must be really hard for you. Be consoled knowing that his pain is over and he is in a better place, guitar in hand.

Sorry to read of Jim's passing. As a youngster, Jim was Mr. Cool as far as I was concerned, a rock band, Mercury Cougar and those guitars. Lynn and I send our thoughts and prayers to the Aguilar family.
