Margaret "June" (Pearson) Holloway

June 11, 1930 ~ May 8, 2018 (age 87)

Margaret "June" Holloway, 87 of Peru and formerly of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru after a brief illness.

June was born in Grant County, Indiana on June 11, 1930, daughter of the late Walker and Edna (Hoppel) Pearson.  She graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1948 and married the love of her life, Joseph C. Holloway on January 9, 1953.  He preceded her in death on April 1, 2014.  June was a homemaker.  She was extremely proud of the family she and Joe created.  Their home was filled with love and humor.  She loved cooking for her family and also enjoyed flower gardening, embroidery, and reading

She is survived by three children;  Joseph (Ginny Timbs) Holloway, Fairmount, Jeff (Tammy) Holloway, Jonesboro, and Deborah (Dan) Fulton, Peru,  five grandchildren; Kim (Chad) Campbell, Gas City, Kellie (Eric) Skeens, Marion, Lyndsay (Parker) Woods, Tipton, IN, Christian (Shelby) Fulton, Peru, IN, Joseph (Paige Conley) Holloway, Kokomo, and Mandy Holloway, Jonesboro, 4 great-grandchildren; Heisman and Haleigh Skeens and Cade and Carson Campbell, sister, Carolyn (Larry) Adams, Anderson.

June was preceded in death by her parents, husband  Joe of 61 years, son David Holloway, Brothers, Ellis, Loren and Calvin Pearson, and sisters, Louise Dilley and Mary Johnson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremations Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where the family will receive friends on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 4-8 PM.  Funeral celebrating June's life will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating.  Burial will follow at Park Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Little Red Door or Cancer Services of Grant County in care of the funeral home.
