Ian Anthony Miller was born to Ruby Mohn and William Miller in Urbana, Illinois, on December 4, 1981. He passed away unexpectedly at home after a brief illness. Ian proudly served his Country as a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marine Corps and retired in 2021 after 16 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, good food, and the Pacific Northwest. He also loved Guinea Pigs, cats, and Corgis. He enjoyed all forms of Martial Arts, especially Jiu jitsu. He is survived by his mother, Ruby Mohn; his father William Miller; aunts, Becky (Lukah) Brown, Julene (Daniel) Pommert, Anita (Ron) Fike, and Vee (Scott) Herrington; uncles Henry (Sue) Mohn and Arnold (Ana) Miller; sisters, Maya (Aragorn Deane) Moon and Sarah (Cody) Rennison; brother Brian Miller; nieces and nephews, Levi Rennison, Julian Frederickson, Freya Rennison, Aoife Rennison, and Henry Rennison; and numerous cousins, friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ceder Merrick; a cousin, Will Herrington; and grandparents, Henry and Patricia Mohn, and VC and Marguerite Miller. Arrangements for Ian have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenus, Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. A funeral service with military honors will follow. Burial will take place at a later date at Marion National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
