Opal Jones

Opal B. Jones, 83, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Marion General Hospital. Opal was born on October 23, 1938, to the late Roland and Dortha Dishman. She married Jess D. Jones, and he preceded her in death in 2013. Opal worked as a waitress and then a supervisor, and she enjoyed all sorts of crafts - including crocheting, knitting, and quilting. She also loved to garden. Opal is survived by her son, Jacob Jones, and grandson, Landan Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Dortha; husband, Jess; and 11 siblings. Private burial arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 North Main Street, Upland, Indiana.
