Alice 'Earlene' Lightle

Alice Earlene (Bicknell) Lightle, 71, passed away Wednesday evening, September 12, 2018, in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. She was born in Blackford County, the daughter of the late Earl and Betty Jane (Creager) Bicknell. She graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1965 and later attended Ivy Tech Culinary School. Earlene was formerly employed as a Bookkeeper and for the last 24 years she cared for her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, listening to her grandchildren, and trying new recipes. Survivors include her daughter: Kimberly Kreischer, Hartford City; two grandchildren: Nolan Kreischer, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and Courtney Kreischer, Hartford City; a sister: Drucilla (Steve) Brewer, Stawberry Plains, Tennessee; and a brother: Dallas Bicknell (Johnn Young), Denver, Colorado. Memorials may be made to the Hartford City Public Library for large print books, 314 N. High St., Hartford City, Indiana, 47348. At her request, there will be no services. Arrangements were entrusted to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home Cremation Services, Jones-Smith Chapel, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana, 46989.
