Beth A. Maynard

Beth A. (Thompson) Maynard, 76, of Gas City, died Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Miller's Merry Manor in Marion.

Beth was born on October 2, 1949 in Tennessee, daughter of the late John and Louise (Smithson) Thompson. Beth graduated from Fairmount High School in 1968. She married Marion H. Maynard on November 30, 1974. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2011. Beth and Marion were owners of M & B Rentals. Beth was also a substitute teacher for Mississinewa and Madison Grant Schools. She was a life time member of First Christian Church in Gas City. Beth loved traveling and sewing but most of all loved spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Beth is survived by her daughter Malinda (Joe) Hussong, Gas City, step-daughters, Connie (Alan) Dixon, Gas City, and Janna (Chris) Armstrong, The Villages, Florida; four grandchildren, Xander (Alyssa) Hussong and Eve (Aaron) Hussong, both of Gas City, Ashton Armstrong and Marlissa Dixon; four great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; brother, Steve Thompson, Fairmount; and several nieces and nephews.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise; Husband, Marion; and two brothers, Bill and Larry Thompson.

Services for Beth have been entrusted the the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. where services will be on Friday April 3, 2026. Visitation will be from 11 AM - 1 PM with the funeral service beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery.
