Billy J. Huddleston, 68, of Fairmount, Indiana, passed away on April 26, 2025.
Billy was born on May 21, 1956, in Rochester, Indiana, to William E. Huddleston and Neda Jo (Lytle) Huddleston. He was a 1974 graduate of Culver High School.
On April 4, 1980, Billy married the love of his life, Penney (Hickman) Huddleston. Together they raised two children, Clayton and Page, who were the pride and joy of his life.
Billy retired from DANA Corporation in Marion after 28 and a half years of dedicated service. After retirement, he continued working at Ruler Foods in Marion, where he enjoyed connecting with coworkers and customers alike.
Billy had a deep appreciation for history and was a fan of western TV shows. He loved Ford trucks, summer picnics, and any opportunity to spend time with family. He had a special place in his heart for children and was known for his loud, infectious laughter and his goofy grin that could light up a room. His easygoing spirit and genuine kindness made him a joy to be around.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Penney (Hickman) Huddleston of Fairmount, IN; two children, Clayton (Audrey) Huddleston of Marion, Indiana and Page Huddleston of Fairmount, IN; grandchildren, Abby and James Huddleston; cousins, Janet (Frank) Lytle-Torregrossa, Lori (Tom) Shirley, Jake Lytle, Misty (Rob) Cripe, along with their families; Aunt, Pat Lytle; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in passing by his parents; son, John Huddleston; brother, James Huddleston; uncles, Tom and Max Lytle; aunt, Angie Nichols.
Arrangements for Billy have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, IN 46928. A public visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 10:00am - 12:00pm at the Fairmount Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Leiters Ford I.O.O.F Cemetery in Rochester, IN.
Memorial contributions in remembrance of Billy can be made out to Grant County Humane Society, 505 S. Miller Ave., Marion, IN 46953.
