Bob White

Robert L. "Bob" White, 84, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, April 27, 2024, surrounded by his family at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.

Bob was born on February 1, 1940, in Marion, to the late Enoch and Mildred (Couch) White. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1958. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis (Mitchener) White, on July 15, 1961. Bob and Phyllis celebrated 53 years of marriage before Phyllis preceded him in death on December 1, 2015.

Bob was a member of Grant Church for over 76 years.

Bob started working at Paranite in Jonesboro in 1958, he retired after 46 years of service at the same location from General Cable. During those years, Bob also worked helping different family members with farming, raising hogs and milking cows. Bob, after retiring from factory started a lawn mowing service which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Bob loved spending time his with children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Bob is survived by his children, Brinda (David) Carter, Fairmount; and Doug (Angie) White, Fort Wayne; grandson, Cody White, Huntington; granddaughter, Alivia (Kaleb) Kiracofe, Ft Wayne; great-granddaughter, Scarlett Kiracofe; sister, Pat Worl, Florida; sister-in-law Geraldine Jessup, Muncie and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (Mitchener) White; his father and mother, Enoch and Mildred (Couch) White; mother-in-law, Ruth (Clock) Mitchener, brother and sister in-laws, John and Betty Powers, Charles and June Mitchener, Roger Jessup, and Jack Mitchener.

Arrangements for Bob have been entrusted to Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 North Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana 46928. The family will have visitation for family and friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. On Thursday, May 2, 2024, there will be a visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., with the funeral beginning at 11:00 A.M. Pastors Constance Cherry and Gina Krause will be officiating the service. Burial will

immediately follow at Matthews Cemetery, Matthews, Indiana.
