Bonnie Jean Bennett, 70, of Jonesboro, Indiana, passed away at her home on August 24, 2026. Born on December 25, 1955, in Marion, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Hynophia Purvis. Bonnie's warm spirit and vibrant personality touched the lives of many.

In 1996, Bonnie married her devoted husband, Stacy Bennett, who survives her. Their bond was a testament to love and companionship, filled with laughter and shared adventures. As a homemaker, Bonnie dedicated herself to creating a loving environment for her family and friends.

A founding member of BORN Church for 13 years, Bonnie's commitment to her faith was evident in her generous spirit. For over a decade, she passionately contributed to the Best Bags initiative at Hanfield Global Methodist Church, helping support those in need within the community.

Bonnie's outgoing nature, infectious sense of humor, and deep affection for animals made her a beloved figure among friends and family. She delighted in life's simple pleasures, often spending time at the zoo and sharing joyful moments with her daughter, April, as they cheered on the Indiana Fever. Stacy lovingly joked that he needed to wrap her in bubble wrap, a tribute to her adventurous soul and zest for life.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Stacy, Jonesboro; daughter, April Yeakle, Marion; step-daughters, Shanna Sides and Lucinda Johnson, Huntington; step-son, Matthew Yeakle; brothers, Chuck Purvis, Marion, and Mike (Vicky) Purvis, Scottsville, Kentucky; mother-in-law, Frances Amaro, Marion; brother-in-law, Francisco Amaro, Bunker Hill; nieces and nephews, Crystal, Angie, Ava, Vincent, Casey, Cara, Tony (Nicole), Troy, and Zack; and many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Hynophia; nephews, Josh and Jason Purvis and Jose Amaro; brother-in-law, Jose Amaro; and uncle, Bobby Bennett.

Arrangements for Bonnie have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 1, at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., prior to the service.
