Bonnie Robinson

March 18, 1952 — April 25, 2025

Bonnie Sue (Armstrong) Robinson of Gas City, IN, passed away on Friday, April 25 after a very courageous battle with cancer. In true Bonnie fashion, she put up a good fight and didn't give up easily. She was born in Marion, IN, on March 18,1952, to the late Bill Armstrong and Elizabeth Francis (Teal) Brown. She attended Marion High School and retired from Foster Forbes/Ball Foster in 2000 after dedicating 26 years. After retirement, she spent 23 years, off and on, either cleaning the bar or standing (sometimes dancing) in the kitchen at Folkies, cooking up lunches for all of her favorite patrons. She was also a member of the Gas City Moose Lodge #1778.

Bonnie loved the sunshine and hot weather. She could always be seen sitting on her front porch in the summer with her dog, Duper, and her many friends who would stop by just to chat. She was always the life of the party and never missed a chance to show her moves on the dance floor.

She is greatly missed by her daughter, Trina Hardy (Marcus) of Hebron, KY, son Danny Robinson (Tara) and daughter Kristi Holloway (Levi), all of Marion, IN. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Brandon, Brianna and Joshua Belville, Nathan Earle, Brooklyn Giarriello, Blake Robinson, Brittani Ogden, and Jordan McWhirt . She also had 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Donald Gibson. She will also be missed by her many friends, especially Rhonda Click and Ginnie Erlinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-dad, Harold Brown (Brownie), whom she always loved and cared for, and her sisters, Darlene Gibson and Billie Sluder.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at Parkview Cancer Center in Fort Wayne, especially Dr. Patricia Rich, and Stillwater Hospice for their care and compassion throughout her journey.

Per her wishes, there will not be any services. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 8, at the Gas City Moose at 2:00 pm. Everyone who knew and loved Bonnie is invited to come share stories and laughs.

Arrangements were entrusted to Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 200 North 7th Street, Gas City, Indiana 46933.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help cover the cost of the cremation services.
