Bud Teegarden

May 18, 1947 — September 6, 2024

Bud Alan Teegarden, 77, of Jonesboro, Indiana passed away on September 6, 2024. Born on May 18, 1947, Bud led a life marked by warmth, humor, and deep faith.

Bud graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1966 and furthered his education at the National Barber and Beauty School in 1967. Bud's career spanned varies roles; he was a beloved barber, worked at numerous local factories, Hardware Stores, local and in Oklahoma, and dabbled in sales, bringing joy and laughter to all his interactions. Known for his infections personality, Bud was described as the most loving, caring, and funny man, treating everyone he met as "a buddy of mine". His ability to engage in conversations, his adventures traveling, attending concerts and comedy shows and his presence on the CB radio as "Budman" were just a few facets of his vibrant character. Despite not being a great singer, Bud loved music passionately and sang with all his heart. He rode with a motorcycle group, Guardians of the Children. He loved lighthouses and Bulldogs. He was a devout Christian, a previous member of the Marion Church of the Brethren, and attended Pierce Church in Upland, Indiana in his more recent years. His morning devotions were a sacred part of his everyday life.

Bud's family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Madge (Maggie) Harris Magers Teegarden; his children Jackie (Teegarden) Fouce of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Brad (Brenda) Teegarden of Inverness, Florida; (adopted to us) daughter, Megan (Scott) Miller, Hartford City; eight grandchildren Mikaela Fouce, Morgan Dodson, McKenna Barbour, Deanna Teegarden, Austin Teegarden, Cierra Brooks, Courtney (Scott Martin) Dublin, Hope Miller, and Christina (Anthony) Gregory; father-in-law Jerry Parish, sister-in-law Edith (Edie) Paul, first wife Lyndal (Hileman) Harris of 36 years; his sister Irene (Teegarden) Davis, and numerous nieces and nephews along with his beloved dog Max. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lucille Teegarden and his brothers Homer and George Teegarden.
