Carolyn E. Beal, 79, of Marion, IN, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2026. Born on July 11, 1946, to the late Charles and Betty Bryant, Carolyn brightened the lives of everyone around her. A proud graduate of Marion High School's Class of 1964, she dedicated 40 years of her life to working at Ambucare, previously known as the Davis Clinic, before enjoying a well-deserved retirement.
Carolyn had a zest for life that showed through her love for camping, boating, rooting for the Marion Giants, and spending time with her family at the beach during their younger years. As she grew older, her passion shifted to gardening; she took immense joy in nurturing her flowers and creating a beautiful outdoor space. Those who knew her remember her fondly for her quirky habit of blasting the Cooking Channel at full volume while she dived into the world of social media, often commenting on posts with her trademark enthusiasm, blissfully unaware that everyone else could see them too.
Carolyn leaves behind her beloved son, Kyle (Audrey) Beal; step-son, Shane (Amy) Beal; grandchildren, Blake and Landon Beal; step-grandchildren, Elijah, Seth, and Avery Beal; sisters, Connie (Jim) Hilgeman, Peggy (James) Shipley, and Stacy George; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; and numerous special friends at her apartment complex, especially Carolyn Albertson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty, and niece, Charlene "Charlie" Trimm.
Arrangements for Carolyn have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grant County Crime Stoppers, PO Box 1092, Marion, Indiana 46952.
