Carolyn Fox

Carolyn Louise Fox, 74, of Fairmount, Indiana, passed away peacefully at Marion Health on June 10, 2025. Born on September 25, 1950, in Knoxville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Rufus Fox and Effie Murdock. Carolyn was a proud graduate of Knoxville West High School, class of 1968, and later earned an Associate's Degree, leading her to a fulfilling career as a paralegal in the legal field.

Throughout her life, Carolyn embodied the warmth and kindness of a true friend. She had a deep love for reading, particularly enjoying the works of John Grisham, which transported her to thrilling legal dramas. An avid crocheter, Carolyn found joy in creating beautiful pieces with her hands. She also embraced technology, eagerly learning to navigate her iPad, a reflection of her adventurous spirit in a constantly changing world.

A devoted sports fan, Carolyn cheered for the Chicago Cubs and held a special place in her heart for NASCAR, cherishing her visit to Wrigley Field as a highlight of her life. While she will be profoundly missed, her heart of gold and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.

Carolyn is survived by her nephews, Christopher (Bonnie) Fox and Stephen Hedrick; nieces, Dawn Waymire and Amber Phillips; great-nieces and nephews, Khloe Hedrick, Rodney Craig, Jazmine Cox, Whitney, Zoey, and Gage Phillips, and Raelynn Bryan; brother, Wayne "Bud" Fox; and sister, Anita Murdock.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Fox and Effie Murdock.

In keeping with her wishes, Carolyn will be cremated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
