David L. Cretsinger

David L. Cretsinger, 59, passed away on October 5, 2026.

David was born on October 3, 1967, in Marion, Indiana, to the late John William "Bill" and Elizabeth Ann (McEntyre) Cretsinger. He was a graduate of Oak Hill High School and attended Marion College.

David enjoyed anything outdoors, especially fishing, camping, boating, and riding motorcycles. He also loved playing basketball and was an avid fan of Purdue Basketball and the Indiana Fever. He was a fan of Caitlin Clark and enjoyed watching cooking shows and westerns.

David was known for his sense of humor and his unique personality. He enjoyed good food and had a way of making those around him laugh. Above all, David was loyal and loved fiercely.

David is survived by his children, Alex Cretsinger and Alexis Cretsinger; fiancée Kim Staten; aunt, Ginger Sachse; and uncle, Frank Fults.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John William "Bill" and Elizabeth Ann (McEntyre) Cretsinger.

Arrangements for David have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
