Donna K. Planalp

Donna K. Planalp, 92, passed away on May 2, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 17, 1933, to the late Ross and Elizabeth (Hall) Patterson.

Donna was a proud graduate of Windfall High School, Class of 1951. On December 12, 1952, she married the love of her life, Lester E. Planalp, and together they shared many wonderful years until his passing. Donna dedicated her life to caring for her family as a homemaker, creating a home filled with love, warmth, and lasting memories.

She had a passion for collecting St. Clair glass and was an avid NASCAR fan, always enjoying the excitement of a good race.

Donna will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michael (Kathy) Planalp and Karen Watson; grandchildren, Jeffrey Planalp, Angela (Brad) Proctor, Ross (Shauna) Planalp, and Jerrico Planalp; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Lester E. Planalp; son, Richard Planalp; sisters, Sharie Heath and Brenda Salsbery; and brother, Kenneth Patterson.

Arrangements for Donna have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jack Bess officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
