Gloria Jean Marrs, 82, passed away on November 5, 2026, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. Born on June 15, 1944, to Freda and Robert Grim, Gloria spent her childhood in Marion, Indiana. Gloria was a loving wife, who married the love of her life, Robert L. Marrs, on February 25, 1966. Robert and Jean were members of the First Pentecostal Church of Marion were they met, fell in love and married.
Gloria was a woman whose life was anchored in her faith and poured out in love for her family. Dedicated to the Lord in all she did, she lived her beliefs quietly and faithfully, through prayer, through service, and the steady, loving way she cared for those around her. To her husband, she was so much more than a wife; she was his "Queen of Possum Holler," a title given with love, laughter, and deep admiration for the woman who ruled their home and their hearts with grace. Her family was her greatest joy, and her legacy will live on in the faith she shared and the love she gave so freely.
Gloria is survived by three children, Robert "Chip" Marrs Jr., and Donald "Don" Marrs both of Marion, and Misty Marrs, Muncie; five grandchildren, Jordan (Brooklyn), Amanda (Drew), Cody, Kyle and Wyatt Marrs; two great grandchildren, Aubree and Addilynn; and sister, Sue (Gary) Freiburger.
