Jacob Allen Hawkins, a spirited soul of 34 years, will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered following his untimely passing from a motorcycle accident on Thursday, October 9, 2025, in Richmond, Texas. Born on January 18, 1991, Jacob was the cherished son of Gary Hawkins and Shannon Whitman. His wife, Elsa Hawkins, whom he married on September 4, 2012, will carry his memory in her heart forever.
A proud graduate of Marion High School in 2010, Jacob embraced life with a passion that was evident in all he undertook. He dedicated six years of his life to serving in the Army, from 2011 to 2017, exemplifying his commitment to his country. After his service, he found his calling in the automotive industry, working as a Cylinder Head Warranty Manager for Jereh Group DPM, where his expertise and dedication shone brightly.
Jacob was not only defined by his professional accomplishments but also by his wide-ranging interests and his love for adventure. As a member of a rider's group in Houston, he reveled in the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, riding 4-wheelers, swimming, and even the joy of belting out his favorite tunes at karaoke. An avid football fan and a passionate off-road recovery enthusiast, Jacob brought energy and excitement to every gathering.
Above all, Jacob had a remarkable ability to connect with others; his compassionate nature was evident in his relentless desire to help those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and adventure that will resonate with all who knew him.
Jacob is survived by his wife, Elsa; father, Gary Hawkins; stepmother, Stephanie Wilbanks; Shannon Whitman; stepfather, Mark Tsetsi; son, Jeremiah Hawkins; mother-figure, Beverley Wetherell; siblings, Random Tsetsi, Jessica and Devin Wilbanks, and Amber and Kira Wetherell; brothers-in-law, Eric, Zaldy, Arnel, Joel, and Romel Mancio; sister-in-law, Lolita Mancio; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Arrangements for Jacob have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Fairmount, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
