Jill Shelton

Jill E. (Marley) Shelton, 81, of Fowlerton, died, Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Marion Health.

Jill was born on July 26, 1943 in Marion, IN daughter of the late Elmer E. and Edith J. (Garner) Marley. Jill attended Fairmount High School. She married Lewis B. Shelton on September 17, 1960. He preceded her in death after 62 years of marriage on January 23, 2023. Jill was a homemaker. Jill enjoyed camping and traveling, having gone to London, Paris, Mexico, and Canada. While staying closer to home she enjoyed crafts, reading, gardening, and going to festivals, rummage sales, and antiquing. She loved her friends and most of all loved to bake with her grandchildren.

Jill will be missed by her children; Darcie (Steve) Hurst, Marion, Bud (Carla) Shelton, Fairmount, and Thad Shelton, Mercer Island, WA; grandchildren, Ashley (Jamie) Landis, Allison (David) McGuire, Matthew (Myla) Baxter, Sam Shelton, Spencer (James Lewis) Shelton, Lyndee (Eric) Clevenger, Lucas Shelton, Caroline Shelton, Calan Kerrigan, Christian Huston; 23 great-grandchildren.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Edith, husband, Lewis, son, Chris Marley, Brothers, Jay F. (Donna) Marley and Ronnie Marley.

Services for Jill have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Visitation is from 11-1 with the funeral service at 1 PM with Pastor Brock Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
