Judith A. Marley, age 76, of Marion, passed away at 1:05 AM on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent in Kokomo, Indiana.

She was born on May 23, 1950, in Breese, Illinois, to the late Vincent Frank Thien and Marie B. (Waltering) Thien Moss. Judy graduated from Fairmount High School in 1968. On July 13, 1987, she married Ronald E. Marley, who survives.

Judy was a strong woman and a true fighter. She worked for many years at RCA (Thomson Electronics), for many she was a donut maker at the Village Pantry's in Marion and Fairmount, and at the Outpost Fairmount, IN. Judy deeply loved people, was a founder of the Proud Americans who maintained a warehouse with supplies for veterans, she fiercely supported veterans and "Grant County Stand Down" initiatives, and spent her free time collecting owls and key chains and loved to dance. Above all else, she loved her kids, her grandchildren, and her entire family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald E. Marley; her children, Leilani (Tim) Shaffer of Canfield, Ohio, Billie Carpenter of Marion, John Eppley of Marion, Rhonda (Rick) Musick, Heidi (Charles) Marley, and Tim (Bonnie) Marley; her siblings, Mary Brass of Fairmount, Patti (Phil) Orndorff of Kokomo, Janice Sutton of Fairmount, and Lori (Mike) Jarvis of Van Buren; 20 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Frank Thien who died when she was a young child. She was raised by her mother Marie B. and John Moss, to whom also preceded her in death, son; Tim Marley, her brothers, Donald, Robert, and Ronald Thien; her sister, Deborah Manley; and brother; Jeff Moss.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the Protestant Chapel, 1700 East 38th Street, Marion, IN with Pastor Matthew Trexler officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Marion National Cemetery.
