Lawrence D. Watson 57 of Marion, died unexpectedly Wednesday March 9, 2022 at Sweetser, IN. Lawrence was born at Marion, Indiana August 4, 1964 to the late Thomas G. and Christina (Reno) Watson. He was a graduate of Madison-Grant High School Class of 1982, he was an independent contractor doing multiple job but mostly flooring. He enjoyed fishing, going to concerts and helping others, especially the elderly. He was soft spoken, hard worker, and was always willing to help others. He was honest and said it like it was, good or bad, he was a protector and would always follow through with what he had started. Lawrence loved his companion Melissa Holt with who he made his life with for many years, and she survives. Also surviving are his siblings, Chris (Toni) Watson, Jonesboro, Melissa (Matthew) Barger, Perry, MI Sabrina (Sam) Justice, Summitville, and John Watson, Fairmount. His mother-in-law, Elizabeth (Ralph) Jeffries of Marion, IN. Nieces; Adrianna Justice and Emily Barger, nephews; Curtis Barger and Alex Barger, great nieces; Melody and Aria Barger. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Howard and Nettie Reno and Harold and Marie Watson. Arrangements for Lawrence have been entrusted the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 So. Western Ave., Marion, IN where the family will receive friends from 11-1 Wednesday March 16, 2022 followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, IN Memorial contributions are to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
