Linda Morrison, 81, of Fairmount, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on July
1, 2026. Born in Palmer, TN to Walter "Smokey" Rollins and Luevina Rollins, Linda
graduated from Tracy City High School and worked for 29 years at H&R Block in
Marion, Indiana. She married Bobby Joe Morrison on August 12, 1961, and he
preceded her in death on December 5, 1997. Together they raised four children: Joey
(Cathi) Morrison, Rochester, IN; Kimberlee (Brett) Winslow, Fairmount, IN; Stephanie
(Keith) Gillespie, Marion, IN; and Kirk (Tara) Morrison, Fairmount, IN.
Three things mattered most to Linda: her faith, her family, and the Chicago Cubs. She
played the piano at South Marion Freewill Baptist church for many years, and could play
almost anything by ear. Linda could make anything grow, and she took pride in tending
to her beautiful flowers and plants. She also tended to people and developed
relationships with everyone around her simply by being kind and curious and by giving
freely of what she had to share.
Linda is survived by a large and loving family, including her four children, six
grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, five step-great-
grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-
in-law Bonnie Morrison, Marion, IN; Mary Morrison, Marion,IN; Donna Rollins, Palmer,
TN; and Mary Rollins, Palmer, TN as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Linda is preceded in death by her brothers
Bobby Howell Rollins, Jim Wade "Spoolio" Rollins, and her grandsons Jered, Micah,
and Dustin.
Visitation services will be July 6, 2026 from 11-1 at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home in
Fairmount, IN. Linda's funeral service will take place after visitation, with burial service
to follow at Park Cemetery in Fairmount, IN.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda's honor to Cancer Services of Grant
County.
