Linda L. Wegman, 84, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in Marion. Linda was born on May 10, 1940, in Marion, Indiana, to the late Von and Ruby Mae (Spaulding) Sprinkle. She married the love of her life Francis Henry Wegman on August 14, 1960. They shared 61 years together. Linda graduated from Marion High School in 1959. She worked as an inspector for Wagner Industries, Wabash, for 20 years, managed home rentals and delivered newspapers for the Chronicle Tribune into her seventies, and enjoyed every minute of it.
Linda was a hard worker and compassionate person. She has a true passion for helping others. The YWCA of Marion awarded her the 2002 Woman of the year. She often assisted her tenants by driving them to the store, the doctor and church services. For several years she cared for her husband, Frank and a good friend Beverly. She loved making family memories with her children and husband. Linda was also known to go rummaging in her free time. She attended Salvation Army Church, she was a part of the Ladies Home League and was a faithful servant to the Lord.
Linda is survived by her children, Douglas (Mary) Wegman, Knoxville, TN; Gary (Nancy) Wegman, Marion; Donald (Anita) Wegman, Marion; Frank T. (Sarah) Wegman, Erwin, TN; and Patricia (James) Budds, Peoria, IL; and sister Phyllis Apple, Marion, In;
grandchildren, Jessica (Jon) Hatton, Karen (Gregory) Hatton, Jacob Wegman, Hannah Wegman, Martin Wegman, Joseph Wegman, Sarah (Jeff) Polakiewicz, Zachary (Jennifer) Wegman, Abigail (Dan Flint) Wegman, Joshua Wegman, Nathan (Virginia)Wegman,Elliana Wegman, Grace Wegman, Luke Wegman, Jonathan Wegman, David Hunt, Richard Hunt, Donald (Heather) Simon, Kim (Aaron) Brown, Megan (Gage)Lahr, Jennifer(Preston) Sage, Andrew (Justine) Jones, Mindy Wegman, Daniel (Karina) Wegman, and Melissa (Aaron) Jones-Pockett, Sean (Bailey) Budds and Alex Budds ; 26 great-grandchildren. And her loving dog Lucy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Henry Wegman; parents, Von Bernard and Ruby Mae Sprinkle; son, Timothy Wegman; sister Bonnie Lohmeyer.

Arrangements have been entrusted to College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where on Thursday, April 24, 2025, there will be a visitation held for family and friends from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 P.M. with Ray Daniels officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.
