Loretta "Ret"
Stansberger
May 15, 1947 — Jul 2, 2026
Loretta "Ret" Stansberger of Colleyville, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born on May 15, 1947, in Anderson, Indiana.
Ret graduated from Ball State University and began her career as a teacher. After relocating with her family to Texas in 1983, she built a successful advertising company, Business Expressions, where she formed countless friendships that lasted a lifetime. Later, she served as President of the Colleyville Chamber of Commerce, a role that reflected her passion for supporting local businesses and strengthening her community. Throughout her career, Ret was known for her kindness, leadership, and genuine ability to connect with people.
On December 24, 1971, Ret was united in marriage to Ken Stansberger, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in faith, love and family. Ret and Ken shared over 54 wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with two sons, Carl Stansberger (Erin) and Kenny Stansberger (Amanda). They took great joy in having their family live close by, allowing them to create countless cherished memories together.
Ret's greatest pride was her family, especially her four beloved grandchildren that affectionately called her More More: Emily (21), Maddie (20), Mackenzie (19), and Luke (16). She delighted in telling anyone who would listen that she had "perfect grandchildren." Nothing brought her greater happiness than celebrating their accomplishments and spending time with them.
Ret treasured her many friendships and had a gift for making people feel welcomed and valued. She loved gathering with friends, sharing laughter, volunteering with numerous organizations, and working to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Her generous spirit and servant's heart touched everyone who knew her.
Throughout her life, Ret’s faith remained strong. She spoke often of praying for her family, her friends, and the world. Even as her own health declined, her thoughts remained focused on others. Her compassion, grace, and unwavering love will remain an enduring legacy.
Ret is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Ken Stansberger; her sons, Carl Stansberger (Erin) and Kenny Stansberger (Amanda); her cherished grandchildren, Emily, Madison, Mackenzie, and Luke Stansberger; and her sister, Barb Wood.
