Mary Lou Luttrell

Mary Lou Luttrell, 83, passed away with her husband by her side on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in Marion, Indiana. She was born on August 20, 1940 to the late Claude and Ella (Miller) Brinninstool. Mary Lou graduated from Eaton Rapids High School in 1959. After graduating she married Reverend Thomas ‘Tom’ Luttrell on June 11, 1960. They spent the majority of their life residing in Michigan, where they raised their children, William, Jeffrey, and Donald.

Mary Lou was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted pastor's wife, and was a member of the Church of Nazarene. Mary Lou had a motherly spirit; she and her husband were foster parents for many children. Mary Lou also took great pride in taking care of her family and husband.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Reverend Thomas ‘Tom’ Luttrell; children, William (Rora) Luttrell of Willmington, IL, Jeffrey (Paula) Luttrell of Marion, IN, Donald (Juli) Luttrell of Eaton Rapids, MI; siblings, Joan Jenkins, Barney (Karen) Brinninstool, Gary (Linda) Brinninstool; grandchildren, Rebecca (Matthew) Calhoun, Robyn (Will Houle) Luttrell, Christopher (Megan) Luttrell, Robert (Ashlyn) Luttrell, Cynthia (TJ) Swanson, Wesley (Christine) Luttrell, Kristina (Nick) Maksymowski, and Alexander (Miranda) Luttrell; great grandchildren, Mora, Charlie, August, and Silas.

Mary Lou is preceded in her passing by her parents, Claude and Ella (Miller) Brinninstool; brother, James Brinninstool.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Avenue, Marion, IN 46953. A visitation will be held at the College Park Chapel on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.. A service will be immediately following the visitation with Dr. Harold DeMott officiating. A burial will be at a later date.
