Mary Louise Shaver

Mary Louise Shaver, 78 of Fairmount, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday September 7, 2026 at Miller's Merry Manor in Marion.

Mary Lou was born in Bloomington, Illinois, daughter of the late James and Lorene Fuqua. She had been a resident of Fairmount since 1955 graduating from Fairmount High School in 1966. Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Joe Shaver. They were married on August 21, 1971. A great wife, cook, and house keeper and loving Christian woman with many friends, Mary Lou was a true homemaker. Through the years she had been a cashier at County Market, worked for Doctor Runyan and Crystal Laundry. She had been a long time member of the Community Chapel Church.

Along with Joe, Mary Lou is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers Steve Seaton, Roger Seaton and George Seaton, and sisters, Margaret Reno and Donna Jean Seaton.

Services are entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main, Fairmount, Indiana. As per Mary Lou's wished she will be cremated. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 23, 2026 at 1 PM.
