Melody Ann Dixon, 61, of Marion passed from this world peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2023.
Melody was born in Marion, on September 14, 1961 in Grant County Indiana; the daughter of Richard and Roseanna Dixon. She graduated from Perry-Meridian High School in Indianapolis, IN. After high-school Melody went on to work several jobs within the community including at RCA, Carter Lumber, and last American Woodmark as an inspector. She attended Bethel Worship Center when she could, and was a strong believer in Christianity.
A lover of animals, Melody supported animal welfare in various ways throughout her life. She particularly loved cats, and had many through-out her years. She was also a crafty person who enjoyed making jewelry and coloring in adult coloring books. She was independent and outspoken her entire life, but had a soft heart.
Melody was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Roseanna Dixon.
She is survived by her siblings: Randall Dixon (Jacksonville, Florida), Sandra Dixon Rogers (Charles) Brownsburg, Indiana, Gregory Dixon (Jacksonville, Florida). She was aunt to 6 nieces and nephews, and 12 gr-nieces and nephews. Melody also had a special relationship with one of her cousins Stacie Fields Burns (Bobby) who survives along with numerous other cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, IN 46953. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 27 at the College Park Chapel, with a visitation from 6-7PM and a service to immediately follow at 7PM.
