Michael K. Collins

Michael K. Collins, 33, of Fairmount, died unexpectedly in an auto accident on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Michael was born on January 10, 1988 in Bethesda, Maryland, son of Michael E. Collins and the late Leisa (Marley) King. Michael graduated from Madison-Grant High School in 2008. He married Alexis Cain on June 1, 2013. He worked in Shipping at American Mobile Power. Michael was a kind, loving, and friendly man who loved his family and spending time with his children Kent and Nora. He enjoyed coaching Kent's coaches pitch baseball team. He was an avid Colt's and Michigan Fan. Michael is survived by his wife Alexis; children, Kent and Nora; father and step-mother Michael and Carrie Collins; siblings, Amber (Matt) Wilson, Noblesville, Brittany (Curtis) Matteson, Russaville, Noah (Casi Seals) Collins, Fairmount, Chad (Melissa) Wenn, Tucson, AZ, Cristyn (Jed) Foster, Ft. Wayne; brother-in-law, Darrick Cain, Fairmount; father-in-law, Jeff (Deanna) Cain, Greentown; grandmother, Nancy Sexton, Jonesboro; and grandmother-in-law, Connie Isaacs, Clermont, Florida. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Leisa; grandparents, Kenneth and Janet Collins, Marilyn and Mike Mathis, and Michael Marley; and mother-in-law, Diana Cain. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. Services will be held at The River Church, 759 S Lenfesty Ave, Marion, IN 46953 on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Visitation is from 3-6 PM with the funeral service at 6 PM with Pastor Amy Biegel officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
