Michael Richard Kegg Sr.

Michael Richard Kegg, Sr., born April 1, 1943, very sadly and heartbreakingly was ready to go home to God.

Michael was a skilled electrician throughout his life. He wired people's homes and worked at Owen Illinois until their doors closed. He then went to Chrysler Casting Plant from June 1983 till January of 2004, when he retired. He enjoyed shooting his guns, karate, playing cards, and cooking out with his family and friends.

But mostly, he enjoyed helping others as an EMT and through civil defense and being there for his Wife Roselea and the family they created.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Roselea, his daughter Malissa Kegg, his grandson Michael Richard Kegg III, granddaughter Ash Tomlinson and great-granddaughter Macie Leann Picco, as well as his parents, Edgar and Margaret Kegg and his sister Miggy.

He is survived by his children, Valerie Stambaugh, Crystal and Shane Ward, Brian and Larraine Stambaugh, and his son Michael Richard Kegg Jr.; his grandchildren: Kelly, Shon, Richard, Jacob, Larissa and Shawn Picco, Stephanie & Wayne Salyers , Kira & Dane Seydel, Tiffany and Jake Alexander; great-grandchildren: Cameron, Jaden, Kailana, Liliane, Cloey, Cody, Pearl, Serenity, Wyatt, Alec, Ashton, Kaylee, Aiden, Siearra, Shawn, and Zach; great-great-grandchildren; Kathleen, Jack, Sebastian, and Harper; and siblings Suzy and Tony Jordan, George and Deborah Kegg. Michael will forever be remembered and missed by many.

Arrangements for Michael have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana 46928, where a visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., with a funeral service following at 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
