Norman Lee White

Norman Lee White, 79, or sometimes known as NORM!, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at home, with his family by his side. Norm was born on February 12, 1944, to the late Norris and Edna White. He attended Jefferson High School and then joined the Army. While in the Army, he served in Germany. On June 15, 1968, he married Linda Sue McCoin. They celebrated their 55th anniversary this year. Norm owned Whites Auto Sales and retired from Taylor University maintenance after 14 years. He was a member of Bethel Worship Center for nearly 30 years. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida with Sue, and shopping at any garage sale he came across. While Norm was generally a quiet man, he had the best, friendliest laugh one could have - it came straight from the belly. We will all certainly miss his laughter, his jokes, and the way his eyes would crinkle when he smiled.

Norm is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Tammie (Steve) McCoy, Marion, and Jamie (Sarah) White, Cuba City, WI; grandchildren, Caleb and Seth McCoy, Alissah, Brady, and Reagan White, and Riley and Reece Rosenkranz; great-granddaughter, Blakely McCoy; brother, Dan (Sue) White, Matthews; nephews, David and Donnie White; brothers-in-law, Gene (Holly) and Arnold (Betty) McCoin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Edna.

Arrangements for Norm have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 North Main Street, Upland, Indiana 46989, where a visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Henson, Sr. officiating. Burial with military honors will take place at Matthews Cemetery.
