Patricia Embry

Patricia A. Embry, 91, of Upland, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Marion Health in Marion, Indiana.

A lifelong resident of Upland, Patricia was a homemaker and previously worked at Pierce Governor in Upland and Foster Forbes in Marion. She graduated from Jefferson High School, Class of 1952. Patricia married the love of her life, Paul E. Embry, on June 4, 1960. They shared 60 years of marriage prior to his passing on July 8, 2020.

She was born September 19, 1934, in Elwood, Indiana, to the late Luther and Mari Belle (Mochelle) Smith. Patricia dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed reading and watching sporting events. She was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Gas City and received her baptism at St. Paul Catholic Church in Marion. Survivors include her son, William (Dawn) Embry; daughter-in-law; Jayetta Embry; brother, Richard (Carolyn) Smith; grandchildren, John Embry, Anna (Isaiah) Kindred, Daniel Jenkins, Steven Jenkins, and Emily (Jake) West; and great-granddaughter, Lily Kindred.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Embry; son, Jayme Embry; granddaughter, Leah Embry.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones-Smith Chapel Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
