Patricia A. Robinson, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away at her home in Fairmount, Indiana, on June 2, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on November 20, 1939, in Hartford City, Indiana, to the late Edward and Ruth Comer, Patricia lived a vibrant and fulfilling life, marked by her warmth, generosity, and spirit of adventure.
Patricia graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1957 and embraced the role of a dedicated homemaker with pride and love. Known affectionately to many as "Betty Crocker," she delighted in baking and sharing her culinary creations, gathering family and friends around the kitchen table. Her passions extended well beyond cooking; she enjoyed photography, tole painting, fishing, traveling, and the joy of square dancing, often participating in clubs that traveled and brought people together through music and movement.
A member of the Fairmount Baptist Church, Patricia's generous heart shone through in all she did. She had a unique talent for sending heartfelt greeting cards, brightening the days of loved ones with her personal touches and thoughtfulness.
Patricia is survived by her loving daughter, Vicki (Alan) Florea, Fairmount; son, Andy (Lora) Mitchell, Alexandria; sister, Carolyn (Paul) Cox, Fairmount; brother-in-law, James Cox, Daleville; grandchildren, Jamie (Jay Blackburn) Harms, Christopher (Carrie) Lamb, Britt Mitchell, Isaac Mitchell, Amanda (Dustin) Keller, and Allison Florea; great-grandchildren, Jillian, Jacob (Shaylah), Chad, Caleb, Caitlyn, Arlen, Daphne, and Foster; and great-great-grandchildren, Lorelei and Arayah. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ruth; husbands, John Jessup and James Robinson; and siblings, Helen Peer, Iona Headley, Charles Lynch, Ilene Bell, Jane Cox, and Ed Comer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana 46928, where a visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Armes officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grant County Cancer Services or the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.
