Preston Lee Michael Jett, 20, of Marion, Indiana, passed away on August 5, 2025, in a horrible motor vehicle accident in Anderson, Indiana.
Preston was born on July 15, 2005, to Deanna Hope Jett and Michael James Jett. Preston enjoyed playing basketball in school and out of school with his close friends and family. He loved track and cross country, just as his mother did when she went to Swayzee and Sweetser for competitions. He also started loving to draw and shade hot rods and trucks like his father at age 8. He loved the outdoors with his curious mind. Preston had an adventurous spirit, creative mind, and a genuine, kind heart. Preston loved his siblings dearly. He was fiercely loyal to those he loved. He would take his shirt off of his own back to help anyone who needed it, as long as they were just as loyal, honest, and true as him. Preston was spiritually and emotionally nurtured by the families and friends of his mother's churches; Friends Baptist Church, Jalapa Baptist Church, Herbst United Methodist Church, Bruce Cameron, mentor of Preston and the Director of Rainbow Christian Camp. Preston considered Bruce as his grandfather and Bruce felt the same. The family will forever hold Bruce in their hearts for showing Preston there was more to life than chaos. His Andrews foster family churches - The Ark Christian Ministry Camp, College Wesleyan Church, Elwood Central Wesleyan Church, and Brookhaven Wesleyan Church - this family loved Preston as much as their own child. They spent a lot of quality time with him growing up. They loved traveling together, allowing Preston to have great experiences with them. They showed him life! The family will forever love and appreciate them for what they did for him.
