Born on May 20, 1960, in Anderson, Indiana, he was the son of the late John and Doris (Carpenter) Webster. Randy was a 1978 graduate of Madison-Grant High School. On October 16, 1981, he married the love of his life, Linda Shively, in Fowlerton, Indiana. They celebrated 43 years of love, partnership, and cherished memories.

Randy worked as a Meter Specialist for American Electric Power and was looking forward to his retirement in June 2025 after 38 years of dedicated service, he loved his work buddies. He was a member of Fairmount Friends Church and was known for his warm heart and generous spirit. He never met a stranger and loved everyone he encountered.

An active and enthusiastic supporter of local youth sports, Randy coached baseball, softball, and basketball for many years. He and Linda enjoyed traveling with their closest friends-Jim, Tonya, Pat, Angie-who were more like family than friends.

He is also survived by his sisters, Debbie (Robert) Orme and Brenda (Jim) Russell, and his mother-in-law, Betty Shively.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, John and Doris Webster, and his father-in-law, Cleo Shively.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Fairmount Friends Church, 124 W 1st St, Fairmount, IN 46928, with Pastor Brock Meyer officiating. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Vinson Cemetery in Summitville, IN.
