Rick Lee Crose, 66, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. Born on February 11, 1960, in Muncie, Indiana, to the late Homer Edward and Agnes Josephine (Mitchell) Crose. Rick was known for his easy-going nature, infectious humor, and genuine spirit that touched everyone he met.
He graduated from Southside High School in 1978. Rick worked in the automotive manufacturing industry, dedicating his career to a field he was passionate about. He loved all things related to cars, particularly his beloved 1969 Camaro, which reflected his deep appreciation for classic hot rods. An avid collector of guns, Rick also found joy in the great outdoors, enjoying fishing and hunting whenever he could. He had a profound love for music, especially classic rock, with Ozzy Osbourne holding a special place in his heart.
Rick is survived by his wife, Lisha Abbott; sisters, Sharon (Charlie) Adams, and Nadine Roberts; nieces and nephews, Chris Crose, Ronda (Mark) Atkinson, Pat (Jeanetta) Powell, Ginger (Steve) Hill, Gregory Gunter, Gary (Ann) Roberts, Jacqueline (Tim) Furney, Cynthia Roberts, Homer (Julie) Roberts, Emily (Jimmy) Jones, and Jerrodd Crose.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Agnes Crose; brothers, Eugene (Danny) Crose, and Raymond (Johnny Sue) Crose; sister, Eileen (Ronnie) Bridgeman; brother-in-law, Gary Roberts; niece, Anita Lane; and nephews, Freman Powell, and Terry Roberts.
Arrangements for Rick were entrusted to the Mississinewa Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 200 North 7th Street, Gas City, Indiana 46933, where on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 12:00-1:00 PM there will be a visitation. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 1:00 PM, officiated by Mark Atkinson. Rick will be buried at Tomlinson Cemetery, in Daleville, Indiana.
Rick Lee Crose will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and passion will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.
