Robert Lee Boothby Jr.

Robert Lee "Bob" Boothby, Jr., 65, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Marion Health Hospital. Born on March 12, 1961, to the late Robert and Lolletta Boothby, Sr., Bob was a genuine character who lived life to the fullest. A proud graduate of Manchester High School's class of 1979, he was known for being a jack of all trades, spending many years working as a junker.

Bob had a zest for life that showed in everything he did. He loved the thrill of scratching off lottery tickets and cherished his time outdoors, whether it was enjoying nature or simply hanging out with family and friends. Family reunions were a highlight for him, where memories were made and laughter echoed. A fan of antique cars, especially Fords, Bob also had a knack for collecting old money.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Renee Boothby; sons, Ronald and Randall Boothby; grandchildren, Ronald Boothby, Jr., Ryan Larue, and Paige Nicole Herring; brothers, Randy, Roger, and Rowdy Boothby; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lolletta; sons, Robert Boothby, III and Troy Boothby; sisters, Glendora Applegate, Melody Teegarden, Cheryl Broegman, and Janet Boothby; and brothers, Ronald Logan Boothby and Rodney Boothby.

Arrangements for Bob have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory, Marion.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
