Robert F. "Bob" Jarvis, age 85, of Alexandria, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Anderson Community Hospital.

Bob was born on January 11, 1941, in Marion, Indiana, to the late Joseph F. and Margaret (Curless) Jarvis. He graduated from Swayzee High School with the class of 1959. On October 9, 1959, he married the love of his life, Judith Ann Hadley, at Jones Chapel Christian Church. Bob often shared that from the very first moment he met Judy, he knew he was going to marry her. Together, they shared a beautiful life and were just weeks away from celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary.

Affectionately known to many as "Burley Bob," he was easily recognized as the tall guy sporting his signature cowboy hat and boots. Bob was an industrious businessman and a familiar face in the local community. He and Judy owned and operated the Summitville Pallet Company for 28 years, and Bob also dedicated 30 years to selling automobiles. He was an adventurous spirit who visited Egypt four times, fondly remembering a special appreciation trip where he and Judy were treated like royalty.

Above all, Bob was a man of immense, unwavering faith and a deeply committed member of Jones Chapel Christian Church. He loved his family fiercely and was incredibly proud of his boys and the men they grew up to be.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Judy Jarvis; his son, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Jarvis of Yorktown, IN; daughter-in-law, Shelly Jarvis of Alexandria, IN; four grandchildren, Morgan (Josh) Reed, Madison Jarvis, Josh (Lacy) Jarvis, and Jacob Jarvis; five great-grandchildren, Lennox, Layla, Lowe, Jarvis, and Mason Reed; two sisters, Brenda Long of Jonesboro, IN, and Debra (Dr. John) Rock of Fort Wayne, IN; and his sister-in-law, Linda Jarvis of Jonesboro, IN.

Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jay Jarvis, and his brother, Joe Jarvis.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating Bob's life will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, with Dr. Joe Seborn officiating. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Fairmount, Indiana.
