Robert "Bob" L. Fulton, 84, of Peru, Indiana, died at 6:07 PM, on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on April 28, 1938, in Huntington, IN, born to Lemoine and Helen (Ellet) Fulton. Bob graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1956 and from Huntington College in 1960 with a bachelor's degree in education. He later received his master's degree from Indiana University of Kokomo and his Administrative License from Ball State University. Bob married Jean Guthier on September 3, 1960. They would have celebrated 62 years of marriage this year. Bob dedicated his life to educating and coaching children. Throughout his 35 years of service, Bob worked at Randall, Huntington, Harrison, Clay, Bunker Hill, Miami and Maconaquah Elementary Schools as a teacher and administrator, sometimes filling both roles simultaneously. After retirement, Bob worked as a substitute teacher and a student teacher supervisor. Bob was a caring man and a great encourager. He was respected and loved by his students, their parents, and his colleagues. When subbing, students' good behavior was often rewarded with Jolly Ranchers. Robert loved to observe, participate and coach many sports. He especially enjoyed golf, fishing and coaching his sons' Little League teams. Bob was also a huge IU basketball fan. Bob will be missed by his wife, Jeannie; three children, Daniel (Deborah) Fulton, of Peru, Debbie Hachet, of Kokomo, David (Laura) Fulton, of Bunker Hill; six grandchildren, Mallory (Joe) Schrock, Robert (Becca) Hachet, Lyndsay (Parker) Woods, Sarah (Zach Green) Hachet, Christian (Shelby) Fulton and Max Fulton; seven great-grandchildren, Daylen Schrock, Ari Schrock, June Schrock, Andrew Green, Charlotte Woods, Jackson Fulton, and Oliver Hachet. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Patricia Bever and Betty Lu Clymer. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Grady. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 3-6 at Maconaquah Elementary School, 7784 S. Strawtown Pike, Bunker Hill, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, IN 46928.
