Rodney M. Lynch

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rodney M. Lynch, Jr., who departed this life on April 7, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on February 19, 1968, Rodney was a beloved son of Rodney M. Lynch, Sr., and the late Delta June Woodward. He grew up in Fairmount, Indiana, where he developed a passion for life that would leave a lasting impact on those around him.

Rodney was a proud graduate of Madison-Grant High School, after which he proudly served in the United States Army. His commitment to service reflected his dedication and love for his community. Rodney had a playful spirit and an infectious smile, and he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished moments spent with his loyal dog, Dema, and his love for football brought him countless hours of excitement as he rooted for his favorite teams. An adventurous soul, Rodney often found himself at the casino, where he enjoyed the thrill of chance and the camaraderie it brought.

Rodney is survived by his sons, Justin and Cody Lynch; granddaughter, Shila Lynch; his beloved dog, Dema; and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins in Tennessee and Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his mother, June, and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
