Stephen Teeguarden

Stephen Teeguarden, 72, was called home to Heaven on September 9, 2026. He was born on September 26, 1953, in Frankfort, Indiana to Beatrice and Orval Teeguarden. He married the love of his life, Patricia McMahan, on June 9, 1972, celebrating their love story for 54 years. Stephen worked at General Cable for 40 years until his retirement in 2016. During that time, he attended Indiana Business College where he earned an associate.

Stephen loved the outdoors, spending his time kayaking, hiking, and canoeing with his family. He also enjoyed a good game of Frisbee golf and always looked forward to a pool game with friends Dan and Jim. When he wasn't exploring nature or participating in sports, he supported them, especially the Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals, and Purdue teams.

He was an active participant in New Life Community Church, wearing many hats over the years, including serving as an elder, participating in the church bus ministry, teaching Sunday school, and playing guitar in the church band.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Patricia Teeguarden; daughters, Michelle (Anthony "Ray") Limon; Melissa (Corbin) Prows; and Sarah (Douglas Jr.) Montgomery; sisters, Janet (Garry) Sink, Judy (Bob) Snow, and Debbie (Jim) Seward; brother-in-law, Dale McMahan; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Orval Teeguarden.

Arrangements for Stephen have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at New Life Community Church, 2011 W 10th St, Marion, IN 46953. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m.
