Theodore A Hamilton

Theodore "Ted" A. Hamilton departed his loving family peacefully on April 6, 2026. Ted was born in Marion, Indiana on August 23, 1955, to Theodore and Evelyn (King) Hamilton.

Ted lived in Gas City his whole life, graduating from Mississinewa High School, Gas City, Indiana, in 1973. While at MHS he was known for being an avid baseball player.

After High School, he worked at Owen's Illinois Factory, Grant Memorial Park, Cubberleys, Dollar General DC, and Dynamite. He then retired in 2020.

Ted was proud to be a Son of American Legion member of post #95, from Jonsboro Indiana for 36 years. In addition, he was also a proud member of the Gas City Moose Lodge since first joining in 1976.

It was at the Gas City Moose Lodge where he first met Angela Sue Harms, whom he then dated, and later married on November 13, 1982.

Ted always liked to be at home with family, but also loved to kick back and throw a line in the water to fish. He was a true Indiana fan by always rooting for the Hoosiers and the Colts. He was also a great cook. Ted was known for making his family's mayonnaise cake, a recipe passed down through the generations, that was loved by all especially his daughter. Ted was known to have a sweet tooth, and he loved to share his love of sweets with his granddaughters that he loved dearly.

Survivors include his loving wife Angela Sue Hamilton, children Ashley (Matt) Weyrick of Marion IN, and Rob (Joy) Harms of Noblesville IN. He is also survived by his three amazing granddaughters Avery Harms of Noblesville, IN and Stella and Scarlett Weyrick of Marion, IN. He is also survived by his brother Terry Hamilton of Seminole, FL. He will be greatly missed by all his family above, as well as his brother-in laws, sister in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and siblings Donna (Hamilton) Wesling, Twin brother Timothy Hamilton, and his baby brother Tyrone Hamilton.

Arrangement for Ted were entrusted to the Mississinewa Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 200 North 7th Street, Gas City, Indiana 46933. To honor Ted's wishes a Celebration of Life will be held, in lieu of a traditional funeral, at the Gas City Moose Lodge, 817 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana 46933, on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 1pm-4pm.

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Ted to either The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023, or to the Marion-Grant County Humane Society, 505 S. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953.
