Thomas J. Winningham, age 92, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025. He was born on December 2, 1932, near Bill Branch, Arkansas, the son of the late Clyde and Loument Winningham.
After graduating from high school, Thomas attended Capitol City Business College in Little Rock, Arkansas. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1952 to 1953. Following his military service, he continued his education at Marion College. Thomas later worked at RCA for 33 years, retiring as a pipefitter.
Thomas was a man of faith and a member of the Church of Christ. He was also active in the American Legion and had previously been a member of the Moose Lodge, Amvets, and V.F.W.
He married , Kay (Wolf) Winningham, and they shared many wonderful years together.
In his free time, Thomas enjoyed quail and dove hunting as well as gardening. He also enjoyed his cars, especially is 1957 Chevy.
He is survived by his children: Thomas (Benda) Winningham, Timothy Winningham, Randy (Lori) Goodman, and Debbie Calvin; grandchildren: Thomas Winningham, Chad Winningham, Kristin Pheffer, Kayle Greenwood, and Misty Bon-Boughie; and great-grandchildren: Zoie, Linlee, Leyna, Lorily, Gracie, Lauren, Nick, Faith, Corey, Ryan, and Kaytlyn.
Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kay; his parents, Clyde and Loument; brothers, Wayne and Gary Cullum; and sister, Marian Ray Martin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM with Steve Armes officiating. Burial will take place at Thrailkill Cemetery.
