Willa L. Miller, 91, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Colonial Oaks Health and Rehabilitation in Marion. Willa was born on February 29, 1932, in Licking River, Kentucky, to the late Bob and Mary Gray. She worked as a machine operator for United Technologies/Essex for many years. She was a lifetime member of the Amvets Auxiliary Post 5, where she also served as President. She enjoyed working as a waitress and bartender at the post. She liked to do pull-tabs with her tips. She also was a member of Water Street Community Church in Jonesboro. She enjoyed being around water and swimming. She loved to go on vacation with her grandkids. She loved spending time with her family more than anything.
Willa is survived by her daughter, Cindy Barnett, Marion; son, David Miller, Sugar Creek, Missouri; grandchildren, Robin (Rob) Swathwood, Michael Miller, Jenny (Zach) Dedman, Chris (Amanda) Miller, and Jason (Rose) Barnett; great-grandchildren, Madyson Dedman, Deanna Swathwood, Harper Dedman, Billy Swathwood, Marie Barnett, and Andrew, Brayden, and Joey Baker; and great-great-grandchild, Isabelle Shrout. She also was well-loved by her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mary; husband, Lewis; son, Eugene Miller; daughter-in-law, Pam Miller; and brothers, John, Claude, Robert, and Don Gray.
Arrangements for Willa have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. In accordance with Willa's wishes, cremation will take place.
