Upland: Florence M. Drischel, 90, passed away Thursday at 3:26 p.m. at the Colonial Oaks Health Care Center. She was born in Fairmount the daughter of the late Woody and Pearl (Florea) Clark. She was a 1934 graduate of Fairmount High School. She married Ivan Drischel on January 29, 1944. He survives. Mrs. Drischel, a life time resident of Grant County, was a member of the Upland United Methodist Church and the Upland Homemakers Club for many years. Survivors in addition to her husband of 63 years include two daughters, Kathy (Richard) May, Siler City, N.C., Sandy (David) Rouzer, Sheridan, Ark.; a sister, Mary Watts, Marion; two grandsons, David Sutton, Chad Wickham, two great grandsons Jacob, Matthew; a sister-in-law, Phyllis (Albert) Olynger, Gas City; and a brother-in-law, Francis (Marcella) Drischel, Marion. Two sisters preceded her in death, Blanche Miley, and Florene Farley. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Services of Grant County, 305 S. Norton, Marion, IN 46952.
